Saw your post for New Years party on the Lansing Events on yahoo news page. Nice site . Used to live in the U.P. Some excellent riding over by Ontonagon and the Lake of the CLouds in the porcupine Mountains. My buds up there are cool too. Wern't that many when I got my first hog back in 1985. Getting to be more folks on a real bike and the population is getting used to it. Used to go up to Brockway Mountain Drive in the Kewenaw Peninsula and watch the jets come thru the gorge. Fun being above the aircraft when they come in below the radar. One year got to see the only Great Lakes Steam ship left. Man when she puts on a head of steam she can scoot right along . For a while any way. Her name is the Krapo ,If I remember right. Well any way Have a happy New Year

I met the guys from Baltimore last night at the meeting over due to an unfortunate circumstance.Beaver passed away, he was my uncle,and a long time brother of KOTR. He loved you guys but one good thing came out of this in my behalf, that being i met a bunch of great guys. I had a very brief run with another mc,i chose to get out and i told myself that i wouldnt join another club.You guys changed my opinion in one night, i had fun and felt very welcome, without all the BS drama i experienced before.I want to thank you all for all the kind words about Beaver.

I am so happy to have been led to the KOTR website. I've been searching for a long time. My Dad, back in the very early 1940s was a member of the KOTR. In fact I was told that at one point he was president of the club. My mother and father actually met at Rouge Park when the club members were there! I am looking for historical info. and possibly photos of the club and him back then. Are there archives or records? Timeline would have been about 1938-42, give or take. His name is Robert Gerald McDonald. He died in 1984 and he loved his Harley! Thanks, Pat

I had a slow work day and was thinking a little about the past when I decided to take a look at the club website just for the sake of old memories. I was pleased to see the info on my dad Pops and my brother Bob in the "In Memory" rather have them still hanging around but we all have to go. Looking at this site reminded my of a lot of good times when i was a club member. I try to describe the things we used to do and the way we rhode as a pack to my international friends and they look at me like i am nuts. Ahhh they will never understand the thrill of lining up on the ramp to the soughtfield freeway (after two bottles of Boones farm) and heading off on a Friday night ride to who cared where!!

Good to see a website up for you guys. I remember some insane road trips to Detroit from Baltimore and staying at Bob Anderson's house. (I dated him for a short time) And the firebombing of the old German Hill clubhouse. Anyone know what happened to Anderson or Smitty from the Detroit club? I just wanted to thank all of you again for all your support, prayers, thoughts, flowers, cards, hugs and thanks to Digger and the Absolute and Cranberry Juice. Your awesome buddy. And you too Redial. Your a great friend and I appreciate you for your big heart. know not to say it as it might ruin your reputation, ha ha.. There are so many people to thank, so many people I love so much.. I love each and every one of you and I appreciate everything you guys are doing for me.. This is such a hard road for me, sometimes I don't think I'm going to make it.. It's tough.. REAL Tough... But with you guys around me, calling me, and especially all the hugs I'm getting. Don't ever stop those. It helps me get through little by little. Glenn was my whole life.. He was my Rock. My Soul Mate, My Best Friend. He was what I lived for...and it's so unimaginable to not have him with me.. Those who knew how we were, know exactly what I'm talking about.. He was one of a kind for sure and the best thing is that I was blessed to have 18 years with him and all the greatest memories anyone could ever have.. May he rest in eternal peace and know how many people's lives he touched. The support has been so wonderful.. Oh and Happy Retirement Kenny.
